If you suffer from one of the above you will be invited to attend annually.
INFLUENZA VACCINE Return to top
Vaccines for the prevention of influenza are available to those who fall into certain categories.
The vaccines are usually available late September/early October each year. Please contact the surgery for further details regarding clinic times and criterias for vaccination.
IMMUNISATION FOR BABIES Return to top
Baby immunisation clinics are held on Mondays between 2 and 3 pm (by appointment only).
For further information regarding childhood immunisations please contact your health visitor.

The practice recognises that caring for a friend or relative, whether formally or informally, occasionally presents its own problems. Please inform us if you are a carer so we can help you to obtain appropriate advice to enable you to deal with any problems encountered.

Llanrwst surgery is committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and the safety of everyone is of paramount importance.
Patient's maybe requested to return for a second appointment if it is felt a chaperone is needed. This is for the comfort and safety of patient's, doctors and nurses.
MAMMOGRAPHY Return to top
All women aged 50 -65 years can have this X-ray test every three years. An appointment will be sent to you from the Breast Test Wales Service. For details of when the service will be in the Llanrwst area please phone 01492 860888.
CERVICAL SMEARS Return to top
National guidance recommend that you have a cervical smear test every three years from the age of 20 to 65, unless advised otherwise. The test can be carried out by our practice nurse by appointment. It is also possible to attend the family planning clinic for a smear test. The clinic is held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, at The Clinic in Watling Street, tel 01492 640345

Advice on contraception is available by making an appointment to see a doctor, alternatively you can attend the family planning clinic on Watling Street, Llanrwst.

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE Return to top
The practice believes that children and young people should be protected at all times. If you have any complaints of concerns about any issues please contact the Practice Manager Enid Thomas, The Surgery, Scotland St, Llanrwst, LL26 0AL TEL: 01492 642303.
We provide a CONFIDENTIAL service to all our patients, including under 16 year olds, this means you can tell others about your visit to the doctor's surgery, but we wont.
You can be sure that anything you discuss with any member of this practice (doctor, nurse, receptionists, assistant or manager) will stay confidential.
The only reason why we might have to consider passing on confidential information without your permission, would be to protect you or someone else from serious harm.
We would always try to discuss this with you first.
AGED BETWEEN 16-74 Return to top
Registered patients between the ages of 16 and 74 who have not been seen for three years may request a consultation.
AGED OVER 75 Return to top
Registered patients aged over 75 years who have not been seen in the previous 12 months may request a consultation. If you are unable to attend the surgery for this consultation because of your medical condition, a home visit may be arranged.
TEST RESULTS Return to top
It is the patient's responsibility to contact the practice for test results.
Phone Number 01492 640411. The surgery is closed each day between 1 and 2 pm.
For Data Protection reasons test results will not be given to anyone else other than the patient concerned.
You may occasionally be given a reference number to quote when requesting certain results.
EMERGENCIES Return to top
Medical cover is available to you at all times for genuine emergencies by phoning 01492 640411.
Between 6:00 pm and 8:00 am, weekends and Bank Holidays emergency cover is provided by MORFADOC by phoning 0844 811 8181. (This service is commissioned by the Conwy Local health Board, Princes Park, Princes Street, Colwyn Bay, LL29 8PL 01492 536 586).
Advice may also be received from NHS DIRECT - phone 0845 46 47.
It is of course in everyone's interest that the emergency on call service is not abused.
